Privacy Policy

La Bulle Bleue inc. has made sure to put in place all required means to ensure the privacy of any personal information collected from its customers, suppliers and employees. The collected information is not communicated to any organization, except when the information is collected for that organization. For example, the personal information of an employee is safely transmitted to the Government of Quebec, for the production of income tax slips. Collected information is in no case used to draw customer profiles, and is in no case transmitted to private organizations.  However, La Bulle Bleue, reserves the right to communicate some personal information when required by law or in order to comply with a legal procedure. 

Collecting personal information

When La Bulle Bleue requests personal information from a supplier, a client or an employee, the organization makes sure the requested information is necessary. As part of the operation of our bullebleue.ca and gvpsweets.ca Web sites, we collect and use personal information to offer our services and to put you in contact with the member of our personnel that is better suited to answer your question.  

At La Bulle Bleue, only the persons responsible for customer service, sales, billing and human resources are authorized to ask for personal information. Before requesting personal information, the employee of la Bulle Bleue must inform you of their identity, and inform you of: 

1. The name and address for whom they are requesting the information for

2. How this information will be used; for example:

   1. The Quebec Ministry of Revenue for the production of tax slips 

   2. The accounting firm that produces pay checks.

3. The type of person that will have access to the information.;

4. If the request is mandatory or not;

5. The consequences for the concerned person or for the third party, to provide the information;

6. Access rights and rectification provided by law.

La Bulle Bleue wished to notify you that if you decide to provide personal information by email, text, form, videoconference or phone, that the information will be used only to answer and follow up on your demand. Electronic messages are subject to the same measures of confidentiality as postal mail. 

Personal information security. Your personal information will be retained in a secure environment to protect them from unauthorized access, use and disclosure. La Bulle Bleue will retain your personal information as long as necessary or pertinent in regards to the reason they were first collected.  Despite the above, there is no guarantee that data transmission by the Internet is secure. Therefore, La Bulle Bleue does not guarantee that your personal information will be protected against any loss, alteration or  abusive usage.  La Bulle Bleue declines any responsibility for the personal information you have provided against their use, or abusive use by you or a third party. 

About Cookies 

You must understand that by accessing bullebleue.ca and gvpsweets.ca Web sites without you having to do anything, an information exchange is done between your computer and our server. This information does not personally identify you. The exchanged information is the following:

1. Domain name and IP address

2. The type of browser you used to access our site. 

3. Date and time you accessed our site. 

4. The pages you accessed and the duration of that consultation 

5. Eventually, the address of the site that redirected you to our site. 

This information is only used for technical and statistical use, and is in no case used to set a list of users. The bullebleue.ca and gvpsweets.ca Websites save no permanent cookies on user’s hard drives. However, when a temporary cookie is required for ASP navigation (Active Server Pages), it is registered in the RAM and automatically deleted when the user leaves the site.

It is possible to deactivate the acceptance of cookies, although doing so may limit the access to some advanced functionalities of the website.
